The Van Valkenburg Home

Hi! I'm Jyl. Pictured with me is Riggs, a foster who probably would have never had a chance in a shelter if not for Safe. He found the perfect home and is now living every dogs dream of being loved.
I chose to become a foster after I lost my rescued 14 year old lab Puff, in 2011. The day after, I adopted Shortbus from Safe. Shortbus rescued me that day. Shortly after, I began to get to know Safe and knew in my heart that I belonged with the group. About a year later, my Cheyenne was also adopted from Safe. I felt called to help other dogs like Puff, Shortbus, and Cheyenne. They had rescued me, now it was time to give back.
