Patty Caron fosters dogs and cats because I got tired of the unnecessary killing in shelters.  So many animals have no where to go other then a shelter.  The shelters are cold, scary and uncaring.  By starting a foster based group it gave so many more animals a opportunity to live and find great homes.  The fact that so many other decided to join me in my beliefs to foster for SAFE and that so many others support us in so many other ways still blows my mind.  SAFE is not what I expected it to be, or dreamed it to be.  It was originally just something I was going to do, save those that I could....its amazing.....
